CharacterBank Inc. Raises 350 Million Yen After Critical Acclaim

CharacterBank Inc., (CEO: Shuto Mikami), a company involved in the planning, developing, and operating XR games including AR/VR has raised funds from FreakOut Shinsei Fund, NetEase Games, Drecom, Sawada Investment, SMBC Venture Capital, and several other sources. CharacterBank Inc. will use the 350 million yen raised to strengthen recruitment and aims to expand its business to strive to become the number one developer in the global gaming industry.
Purpose of Funding and Future Developments
CharacterBank has released three VR projects since 2019 for various platforms. Among those three projects, RUINSMAGUS has become a popular title in the United States, China, and other countries since its’ release in July. In addition, RUINSMAGUS was the only Japanese-developed game selected for the “Best Action Games” in Meta’s Best of Quest 2022. With this additional funding, CharacterBank Inc. will strengthen its development teams to create new groundbreaking titles in order to become the No.1 developer in the global market.
Strengthening Recruitment
